LNG Projects Still Profitable: GECF Sec. Gen.

TEHRAN, Aug 09 (Shana) -- Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Mohammad Hossein Adeli says launching projects for production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) are still lucrative despite a alleged glut in the world's LNG market in the coming years.

Reacting to recent allegations about falling LNG prices in the world which make is economically unjustifiable for launching LNG facilities, Adeli said many countries like Australia are constructing major LNG projects given the item's bright future and its attractiveness to investors.

He said estimates indicate that demand for LNG will rise in the future, making it profitable for producing countries to enhance their production.
