Kian Petchem Plant Picks Linde for FEED on Proposed Olefin Project

TEHRAN, Aug 02 (Shana) -- Iran's Kian Petrochemical Company has signed a FEED (Front End Engineering Design) deal with Germany's Linde Group for obtaining technical savvy for the construction of an olefin, butadiene, hydrodealkylation and benzene unit.

The deal was signed on Tuesday in a ceremony held in the presence of Marziyeh Shahdaei, deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs and head of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), and some of the Linde executives. 

The 12-month deal has been signed with €34.940m of financial credit. 

Kian Petrochemical Company was launched in 2012 in Assalouyeh Petrochemical Complex, south of Iran. 

FEED (Front End Engineering Design) The FEED is basic engineering which comes after the Conceptual design or Feasibility study. 

The FEED design focuses the technical requirements as well as rough investment cost for the project. The FEED can be divided into separate packages covering different portions of the project.
