Contract Signed for Sale of 42m cf/d Associated Gas

TEHRAN, July 27 (Shana) – Deputy Director of the Optimization of Energy Consumption Department at National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Hassan Rajabalipour said on Tuesday that the first contract for daily sale of 42 million cubic feet of associated gas to private sector was signed on Tuesday.

The Head of the Department of Environment Masoomeh Ebtekar and Managing Director of the NISOC were present in the signing ceremony.

Rajabalipour told Shana that sale of associated gas to private sector falls in line with guidelines of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to prevent burning of the flares so as to arrange short-term and mid-term utilization of the gases.

Ebtekar is on a tour of Mahshahr Special Economic and Petrochemical Zone in Khouzestan Province and during her stay a contract was signed for sale of flare gas to the private sector. 

She is accompanied in her visit by such petrochemical industry figures as Shahdaie, and Managing Director of Persian Gulf Holding Company Adel Nejadsalim.
