20 Wells Drilled in North Yaran Field

TEHRAN, July 25 (Shana) – North Yaran oilfield development project manager at Iran Petroleum Engineering and Development Co. (PEDEC), Arash Baqerzadeh, says drilling of 20 wells in North Yaran field is complete and it will produce as much as 30,000 bpd oil by September 21.

Talking to reporters, Baqerzadeh said Persia Oil and Gas Development Company is the main contractor in the project and Iran’s share in the project is more than 70 percent.

He said daily oil production from the field will reach 30,000 bpd and the project with gas section will be complete by the second half of this year. 

North Yaran field is located in the southwestern province of Khuzestan. 

The Ministry of Petroleum plans to focus on oil production from Yadavaran, North Azadegan, South Azadegan, North Yaran and South Yaran oil fields, all of which Iran shares with Iraq.
