Up to 315,000 bpd Oil Recovery from West Karoon Joint Fields by March 20

TEHRAN, July 25 (Shana) -- Director of the Planning Department at Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) Mir Kaveh Moussavi Hoseini says oil recovery from joint fields west of Karoon will reach about 315,000 bpd by March 20, marking end of the Iranian calendar year of 1395, from about 200,000 bpd now.

Addressing a press conference, Moussavi said for the time being, more than 170,000 bpd oil is extracted from Yadavaran and North Azadegan fields and 50,000 bpd from South Azadegan field. 

Adding 30,000 bpd oil recovery from North Yaran by September 21 and 60,000 bpd from South Azadegan by March 20, daily oil output from joint fields west of Karoon will reach about 315,000 bpd this year, according to the official.

He went on to say that all oil production from joint fields west of Karoon will be exported.

The official said that after discharging CNPC, major portion of activities in South Azadegan have been put out to tender./
