Over 5m bpd Crude Exported from North Azadegan Joint Field

TEHRAN, July 24 (SHANA) – More than five million barrels of crude recovered from North Azadegan joint field have been exported since about 100 days ago.

Operator of the project for development of North Azadegan field Keramat Behbahani told reporters on Sunday that the target set for production of the field in the first phase of its development was 75,000 bpd and it has been met.

On talks with China's CNPC on the second phase development of the joint field, Behbahani said the Chinese company should offer its proposal to National Iranian oil company (NIOC) and talks to that end go on.

Putting North Azadegan insitu oil reserves at 5.68 billion barrels, Behbahani said that since as many as about seven billion barrels of insitu oil reserves are expected to be in the field, so the output target set for the second phase of the joint field’s development will change.
