Oladi told Shana that after fire in the pipeline, some ethylene was reserved in the storage tanks besides a portion kept for production and the remaining part was shipped to other petrochemical facilities in Mahshahr.
He added that already, his facility used to provide feedstock for Ghadir, Amirkabir and Arvand petrochemical facilities and after the fire Poldokhtar and Maroon facilities were also added to the list of feedstock delivery.
Oladi put the degree of feedstock sent to the said petrochemical facilities at about 55 to 60 tons an hour and said the remaining portion of the facility’s output is reserved in the ethylene storage tank.
The product of Kavian Petrochemical Facility is sent to Lorestan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Kordestan, Mahabad and Miandoab facilities through West Ethylene Pipeline and the surplus is also used in petrochemical facilities in Mahshahr Special Economic Zone.
West Ethylene Pipleine around Poldokhtar city caught fire on Friday and it was contained after several hours by firefighters.
