Shiraz Petchem Facility's Production Capacity Increases Up to 3.7m tons

TEHRAN, July 16 (Shana) – Head of Shiraz Petrochemical Facility and the official in charge of the Marvdasht Martyrs Ammonia and Urea Project Mohammad-Mehdi Faham said on Saturday that with operation of the project, the production capacity has increased up to 3.7 million tons.

Faham said Shiraz Petrochemical Facility is among the first petrochemical Production Unit that dates as back as 1959.

He added that Shiraz Petrochemical Complex Company's production capacity was initially about 200,000 tons/year and after operation of the ammonia and urea projects of Marvdasht Martyrs it rose to 3.7 million tons.

The official said now, the Ammonia III unit moves towards 100 nominal capacity and the urea unit is among the megaplant units worldwide.
