Manufacture of Remote Control System for Gas Refining Facility Pumps Indigenized

TEHRAN, July 04 (Shana) – The remote control system for Amin rotating pumps installed in Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company's gas refining units are indigenized in line with the policies of Economy of Resistance.

Managing Director of the Company Seyed Mojtaba Monabati told Shana that the machine manufacturing know-how is indigenized per a project to that effect with regards to importance of the pumps in gas refining, high sensitivity of the rotating machine's control, lack of spare parts for former control systems during sanctions and the high cost and long duration of supplying the equipment.

Monabati said the first model of the machine had been manufacturing in partnership with a domestic company and was applied successfully in the no. 4 gas refining unit of the facility in 2013.

He said after two years of analysis of the control conditions and of the registered data, possible problems and shortcomings were removed in cooperation with a domestic company and the work for production of the prototype model was completed.

Since 2013 and after 17,520 hours of successful performance, fortunately no control error has thus far been registered and the indigenized remote control system has been installed in the Amin II and III rotating turbines in the no. 4 gas refining unit, according to the official.

He said each of the machines cost the country 850 million rials to be purchased but it is built at 150 million rials by a domestic company.

The project saved the country about 3.5 billion and if it is installed in other refineries and industries the figure will be remarkable, he continued.
