Iran, Japan Sign Contract for Abadan Refinery Energy Optimization Plan

TEHRAN, July 02 (Shana) – Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) for Coordination and Production Supervision Affairs Saeed Mahjoubi says a contract will be signed with Japanese JGC and Marubeni companies for energy consumption economization in Abadan Refinery.

Mahjoubi told Shana that when the contracts goes in effect, it will leave positive impact on refinery activities.

Abadan refinery is now producing 400,000 bpd liquid gas, engine gasoline, kerosene, kiln oil, fuel jet, gasoil, various kinds of basic engine oil, various kinds of bitumen, different kinds of oil solvents, naphtha, gas and sulfur.
