In a post on his personal account on X, Ghodousi wrote that there is no contradiction between the president's remarks and those of the oil minister on the issue of Iran's oil exports, but that opponents appear intent on spreading "toxic agendas and nonsense."
He explained that loading oil at export terminals and moving it out from under sanctions restrictions as part of exports is one matter, while selling oil that had already been moved out from under those restrictions and delivering it to customers in distant waters is a separate matter.
The first issue is what the president was addressing, Ghodousi said, while the second falls under the oil minister's remarks. He said the situation is not complicated to understand and its meaning is straightforward, adding that those who insist the president's and the oil minister's statements contradict each other are "fishermen who see the water as murky."
