The text of Paknejad’s message marking Journalists’ Day reads:

“This year, Journalists’ Day is being observed as the Iranian people have demonstrated their resistance and unity more prominently than ever amid the imposed Ramadan war and the simultaneous imposition of unjust sanctions.

The martyrdom of the Leader of the Ummah, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, along with a number of commanders, scientists and government officials, inflicted a profound grief on the nation, but strengthened the national resolve.

During these difficult days, media professionals, by reporting the people’s suffering, documenting the grandeur of their resistance and exposing the enemy’s crimes, ensured that the truth in our beloved Iran did not remain hidden. This role reflected their professional responsibility and national commitment, informing the world about the important developments taking place in our country.

Oil industry workers, under the leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and guided by our devoted president, worked around the clock despite war, sanctions and a blockade by land and sea to sustain production and ensure the country’s energy supply. They never stopped serving the people. Thanks to the skillful work of media professionals, this remarkable spirit of sacrifice and solidarity was documented and brought to the public despite the limitations imposed by the country’s special circumstances.

I hereby honor the memory of the esteemed martyrs, particularly the martyrs of the media, sincerely congratulate you distinguished professionals on Journalists’ Day and express my appreciation for your dedication.”
