“The sanctions period had different conditions which are over. In the post-sanction era, there should be complete transparency in entering the transactions particularly with the government,” he told the opening of the Iranian Petroleum and Energy Club 2015 Congress and Exhibition (IPEC 2015) which kicked off here on Monday.
The three-day conference which started one day after announcement of formal end to anti-Iran sanctions is going to discuss the theme Post-Sanctions Iran: An Open Door to Oil and Gas Investment Opportunities.
“Foreign firms interested in Iran’s oil industry must be advised that the resolve of the country’s officials lies in honest and transparent work,” he stressed, “We hate the parasites who are soaking the blood of the nation in the current condition.”
“We recommend foreign firms to avoid any encounter and negotiations with corrupt people. If so, they will not only damage their credit, but will also miss the opportunity to be present in Iran,” he added.
The minister also told the participants among them chief executives and policy makers in the field of energy and delegates from OPEC, GEDF and IEA that in the post-sanction period, access to Iran’s senior officials in the oil industry will be facilitated to check any corruption possibility.
“There are people who have no skills but deception which was their only stock in trade during sanctions period. They are attempting to take ultimate advantage of the post-sanction era,” Zangeneh warned.
There is no necessity to work with such people, he reiterated, advising foreign firms to work directly with oil industry’s senior officials.
Invited speakers to the conference include representatives from OPEC, GECF, IEF, Total, Eni, Ansaldo, World Petroleum Council, OMV, Mistsui, Siemens, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power System, Linde and Mitsui.
