Mohsen Paknejad spoke to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting on the sidelines of a Supreme Energy Council meeting Wednesday. He said officials are pushing to bring back a major share of the production limits imposed on the gas sector before winter demand rises.

Paknejad added that the remaining constraints on production had required decisions on managing energy consumption across various sectors.

Repair work is underway using the technical expertise of domestic specialists, coordinated management, and round-the-clock efforts by oil industry workers, according to the ministry. The rebuilding is proceeding in phases.

Damaged facilities are being brought back online gradually through unified oversight by the oil ministry and a series of engineering and operational measures, as part of short-term plans launched after the third imposed war.

Separately, Mohammad-Jafar Ghaempanah, addressing a crisis management committee meeting at the Pars Special Energy Economic Zone in Asalouyeh on July 20, thanked oil and gas workers for their efforts. He said that despite threats and risks, none of the country's oil and gas terminals shut down, and workers did not allow production to stop.

Ghaempanah said enemy attacks had knocked out about 230 million cubic meters of the country's gas production capacity. He called that a significant amount compared with Iran's roughly 650 million cubic meters of daily output, adding that it worsened an existing gas supply shortfall. Still, he said, thanks to the efforts of oil and gas industry workers, about 100 million cubic meters of that lost capacity is expected to return to production within the next few months.
