As part of his ongoing inspection and oversight program, Abbas Asadrouz visited the terminal's key infrastructure, operational, and development projects to review the progress of major initiatives, assess implementation challenges, and evaluate upcoming plans.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the Kharg Oil Terminal as Iran's primary crude oil export hub, Asadrouz said the country's export strength depends on the reliability of its operational infrastructure. He stressed that expanding, modernizing, and maintaining critical facilities remains a top priority through forward-looking planning and careful execution.

He noted that development and infrastructure projects at the terminal are progressing with strong momentum and coordination. According to Asadrouz, the projects aim to enhance safety, improve equipment reliability, strengthen operational readiness, and ensure the uninterrupted continuation of Iran's oil exports, relying on domestic expertise and effective project management.

Asadrouz also underscored the importance of organizational agility in the evolving oil industry, stating that timely decision-making, close coordination between departments, maximizing workforce capabilities, and eliminating unnecessary processes are key to meeting both current and future industry demands. He said this approach will improve efficiency, enhance service quality, and support the company's long-term objectives.

During the visit, he also inspected the strategic project to install a fire detection and firefighting system for crude oil storage tanks, describing it as one of the country's most significant safety enhancement initiatives for oil terminals.

He said the project represents a major step toward protecting national assets, improving facility safety, reducing operational risks, and strengthening emergency response capabilities. Once completed, it will play a vital role in safeguarding Iran's critical oil export infrastructure.

Asadrouz concluded by calling for the accelerated completion of all strategic projects while fully complying with technical, quality, safety, and scheduling standards. He also urged all operational teams to work together to bring these key projects into service as quickly as possible.
