Mapna Delivers 40 Turbo Compressors

TEHRAN May 30 (Shana)--Pursuing domestic manufacturing, Mapna group has completed manufacturing 40 turbo compressors for delivery to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

Director of oil and gas division at Mapna Vahid Moayeri told Shana that the company had concluded a contract with NIGC for manufacturing 100 turbo compressors of which 40 turbo compressors have been delivered so far.

He said even though Mapna had concentrated its efforts on designing, engineering and procurement it decided to take the responsibility of manufacturing and installation of turbo compressors as well.

Moayer said the company had succeeded in installing turbo compressors in a number of gas pressure stations including in Hamedan, Bijar, Pataveh and Dasht gas pressure stations.

He further said that the company has started manufacturing metering devices as well following a demand put forward by NIGC. 

Mapna Group is an Iranian enterprise which operates in the area of construction and development of thermal power plants under EPC scheme, independent power plants (IPP), oil and gas as well as rail traction projects.

Since its incorporation in 1993, Mapna Group has contributed to the engineering, manufacture of equipment and construction of power plants within the framework of commissioned, under construction and prospect projects scheduled to generate a total of 52000MW of electricity and constituting 86% of Iran’s installed power plants capacity.
