TEHRAN – Technical experience and successful background of the Oil Industries Engineering Company (OIEC) give it the best chance for winning a tender bid for developing phases 15 and 16 of South Pars Project.
Chairman of OIECs board of directors told Petroenergy Information Network that the company has participated in the tender as a consortium with the French Technip, adding, “At least, five groups comprising domestic and foreign companies enjoying technical qualifications have taken part in the tender.”
Gholamreza Forouzesh stated that due to previous successful experience of the company, which was achieved in cooperation with Technip in phases 9 and 10 of South Pars Project, it stand the best chance for winning the tender.
“Many companies have forwarded their proposals for phase 15 and 16 tender bid and the client (Pars Oil and Gas Company) is going through technical qualifications of those companies,” he said.
Referring to companys activities in phases 9 and 10 of South Pars gas field, chairman of OIECs board of directors noted that engineering operations in the said phases have progressed considerably.
He noted that excavations in phases 9 and 10 of South Pars gas field will be finished by early July after which construction of the main metal reservoirs for storing gas liquids and LPG will get underway.
OIEC was established in 1987 to make the most of domestic technical know-how and manpower for oil, gas and petrochemical projects during reconstruction of refineries and other installations damaged during the Iran-Iraq war.
At present, a consortium comprising OIEC, LG, and IOEC is developing phases 9 and 10 of South Pars Project.
