Mansour Shokrollahi said the development of renewable energy parks is a key component of the country's Seventh Development Plan. He said the parks are designed to reduce costs, eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and speed up investment in the renewable energy sector.

Shokrollahi said Iran's strong solar and wind potential makes the initiative a practical solution for increasing clean electricity generation while improving energy efficiency across industries.

Under the Seventh Development Plan, government agencies and major industries are required to meet part of their electricity demand through renewable energy projects, he said. That legal requirement has encouraged companies to invest more seriously in renewable power generation. However, he noted that lengthy permitting processes, land acquisition, environmental assessments and grid connection approvals have delayed many projects. Renewable energy parks are intended to address those obstacles.

He said the parks will provide core infrastructure in advance, including land, road access, electrical substations, grid connections and essential permits. Investors will only need to secure land allocation and begin construction, reducing project launch times from months—or even years—to just a few weeks. He said the change is especially important for industries that need reliable electricity supplies.

Shokrollahi said expanding renewable energy parks will support balanced growth in clean energy, attract domestic and foreign investment, create sustainable jobs and strengthen the country's long-term energy security.
