Spox hails oil industry for performance during third imposed war

SHANA (Tehran) – Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said that despite damage to parts of Iran's oil infrastructure and facilities during the third imposed war, the public did not experience fuel shortages, calling the performance of the country's oil and refining sectors "an unparalleled achievement."

Speaking Monday at a comprehensive public relations training program for public relations managers in Iran's refining and fuel distribution sector, Mohajerani honored the memory of Mohammad Javad Tondgouyan and other martyrs of the country's oil industry. She praised the efforts of oil sector personnel during the conflict and thanked the Ministry of Oil, the oil minister, the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, and its chief executive.

"During the Third Imposed War, employees across Iran's oil and refining industries accomplished an unparalleled achievement, and these efforts should be explained to the public," she said.

Mohajerani said the industry's workforce demonstrated professionalism, expertise and preparedness under wartime conditions. Although Iran's oil, refining and fuel distribution sectors sustained damage during the conflict, she said fuel supplies to the public were maintained without disruption.

She also stressed the importance of informing the public about the oil industry's operations and costs.

"If people do not know the cost of producing gasoline in the country, they should be informed," Mohajerani said. "I believe public relations departments should communicate these activities."

Mohajerani said one of the primary responsibilities of public relations offices is to serve as a bridge between organizations and the public. She described public relations as the public face of an organization and said they should communicate and explain the work of government agencies and ministries to the public.
