President praises national unity, coordination at Martyr Leader’s funeral

SHANA (Tehran) – The President praised the Iranian people and government bodies for their cooperation and coordination in organizing the funeral ceremonies for the Martyred Leader, describing the massive public turnout as a powerful symbol of national unity and a source of strength against external threats.

According to president.ir, Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday (July 8), thanked all organizations and officials for their collaboration in holding the farewell, procession, and funeral ceremonies in Tehran. He said the loss of the Leader, his family members, military commanders, and others was deeply painful, adding that memorial ceremonies held across Iran and Iraq reflected the nation’s respect and solidarity.

Pezeshkian said the scale of the funeral drew global attention, with millions of people from all walks of life participating. He described the event as a demonstration of national unity, effective coordination, cooperation, and strong management. He also praised the First Vice President, ministries, executive agencies, service organizations, and military and security institutions for their exceptional role in ensuring the ceremonies were conducted smoothly and without incident despite hostile expectations.

The President also expressed gratitude to the Iranian people for their historic participation, thanking citizens of all backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives for attending the funeral. He said their presence represented an unprecedented display of national solidarity and would strengthen the country’s resilience against threats from the United States and other adversaries.

Pezeshkian concluded by saying that this unity and cooperation had been achieved under the guidance of the Leader. He expressed confidence that continued national cohesion and leadership would enable the country to move forward while frustrating the plans of its opponents.
