Fuel network fully prepared for farewell

SHANA (Tehran) - Iran's fuel distribution network remains fully stable during the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the Martyred Leader, with comprehensive measures in place to ensure uninterrupted fuel supplies nationwide, the head of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) said.

Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the Oil Industry Martyrs' service camp, Keramat Veis-Karami said planning and coordination for nationwide fuel supply began immediately after the schedule for the ceremonies was announced. He added that daily videoconference meetings are being held with all 37 operational regions to monitor fuel distribution in real time.
Veis-Karami said no disruptions have occurred at fuel stations, emphasizing that NIOPDC personnel are working around the clock to monitor the network and ensure uninterrupted services across the country.
He said special arrangements have been made for the public transportation fleet. In coordination with the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, 2,000 liters of diesel credit has been added to the fuel cards of more than 13,000 intercity buses assigned to transport passengers to the provinces hosting the ceremonies.
Special fuel cards have also been issued for urban buses temporarily deployed on intercity routes. Designated fueling stations have been established along the main highways leading to the three host provinces to support those vehicles.
Veis-Karami said nearly 4,000 buses have been allocated for passenger transportation during the ceremonies, including 1,000 provided by the Oil Ministry. He noted that all necessary fuel supply arrangements have been made for the fleet.
He also announced full readiness to refuel aircraft carrying foreign delegations and officials, saying aviation fuel is being supplied in accordance with approved plans and without any operational issues.
In addition, NIOPDC has established service stations in Tehran, Mashhad and Qom to assist pilgrims and visitors attending the ceremonies.
Veis-Karami said the oil industry is fully prepared to maintain stable fuel supplies throughout the country, assuring the public that personnel are working around the clock to prevent any disruption to fuel distribution anywhere in Iran.
