Shahaboddin Metaji said the NIORDC has required Iranian refineries to prepare three-year plans for compliance with international standards.
He said that a major objective included in the country’s sixth Five-Year Economic Development Plan, starting March 2015, is that the Iranian refineries comply with global standards.
Metaji said another objective of the five-year plan is to reduce the sulfur content of refined products so that less polluting fuel would be available to people.
