According to president.ir, Pezeshkian chaired a meeting of the Central Headquarters for the Farewell and Funeral Ceremonies on Thursday, bringing together senior officials from executive, municipal, emergency, law enforcement, security, military and other relevant organizations.

Participants reviewed the latest interagency coordination and operational plans for the ceremonies, assessing arrangements for logistics, transportation, public services, emergency response, health care, traffic management, security, crowd control and public communications.

Officials also received reports on coordination between the central headquarters and operational command centers in Tehran, Qom and Khorasan Razavi provinces. The meeting examined measures to facilitate access for mourners, strengthen infrastructure and ensure the readiness of all responsible agencies.

The discussions emphasized the full deployment of command-and-control mechanisms, real-time monitoring of roads and access routes, intelligent crowd management, expanded public transportation capacity, full preparedness of medical and emergency centers, enhanced public service and logistical support, alternative traffic routes, reliable telecommunications and rapid-response capabilities for any potential emergencies.

Pezeshkian praised the planning efforts of all participating organizations, describing the close coordination among institutions as a reflection of national unity in organizing the historic event. He stressed that cooperation should continue until the ceremonies conclude.

The president also called for continuous monitoring of city entry and exit points, roads leading to the ceremony venues, traffic bottlenecks and major gathering areas. He said all responsible agencies should use every available resource to ensure the public can attend the ceremonies safely, comfortably and with confidence.

Highlighting the importance of accurate and timely public information, Pezeshkian urged state media and other official outlets to provide ongoing updates and practical guidance. He advised families to carefully consider the participation of children, older adults, people with underlying health conditions and others with special medical needs, recommending that they avoid the most densely crowded areas whenever possible.

Acknowledging the expected large turnout, the president said attending the main ceremony site is not the only way to pay tribute. He noted that people gathering along the procession routes, surrounding streets and nearby areas would also be considered part of the nationwide farewell and funeral ceremonies.

Pezeshkian expressed hope that the ceremonies would be conducted with unity, order and public participation, saying they would stand as a lasting symbol of national solidarity, gratitude and respect, while becoming another significant chapter in Iran's historical memory.
