Mapna Constructing 8 Mini Power Plants

TEHRAN Sept 23 (Shana)--Mapna group plans to build 8 mini combined cycle power plants across the country including in Kerman province, Zarand city’s representative in Majlis (parliament) Hosain Amiri Khamkani said.

Khamkani said that the Minister of Energy visited Zarand city, in Kerman province, last week to attend the ceremony held to start  construction work on the first mini combined cycle power plant.
He said Mapna Company will construct 8 mini power plants, adding Zarand mini power plant with generating capacity of 33 megawatts of electricity is expected to come online summer next year.
Mapna Group is an Iranian enterprise which operates in the area of construction and development of thermal power plants under EPC scheme, independent power plants (IPP), oil and gas as well as rail traction projects.
The company, Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company, (MAPNA) was founded in 1993 with the aim of developing indigenous knowledge production capacity for petroleum facilities, power plants and other industrial facilities, and as a contract management company.
