Speaking Sunday at a meeting with senior media executives, Pezeshkian said the ministries of oil, energy, interior and industry have managed conditions through sustained coordination and efforts in recent months.
He said overcoming current energy challenges will require public cooperation and greater participation in managing consumption. Pezeshkian called on media organizations to help promote energy-saving practices and discourage wasteful consumption.
The president said responsible consumption is consistent with the country’s cultural and religious values, which emphasize avoiding waste and using resources efficiently. He added that these principles should become a broader social norm.
Pezeshkian expressed confidence that with continued public cooperation and adherence to efficient consumption patterns, Iran can overcome its energy challenges. He said the government expects the production sector, industries and households to avoid major disruptions during the coming winter.
Addressing the government’s response to wartime conditions and subsequent developments, Pezeshkian outlined key national priorities, including preserving national unity, strengthening resilience, improving living standards, supporting production and industry, expanding ties with neighboring countries, backing the armed forces and pursuing negotiations within the framework of the country’s broader policies.
He described the current period as one of the most sensitive in the country’s recent history and said successfully navigating upcoming challenges will require cooperation among all branches of government, stronger social cohesion, avoidance of political polarization and adherence to decisions made by legal institutions.
