Keivan Tariqati, cited by Pars Oil and Gas Company, said daily production from Phase 11 has reached about 24 million cubic meters since gas output began. He said the production has played a significant role in meeting the country's energy demand, increasing recovery from the shared South Pars field and safeguarding national interests.
Tariqati added that initial flowback and acidizing operations on the 11th well of Platform B were completed successfully as part of the ongoing development program. Once connected to the production platform, the well is expected to gradually add between 2.3 million and 2.5 million cubic meters of rich gas per day, raising the platform’s total daily output to about 26 million cubic meters.
He said the Phase 11 development project continued drilling operations for as long as possible during the third imposed war, despite operational constraints, disruptions to logistics routes and heightened risks in the Persian Gulf.
Tariqati said strict compliance with health, safety and environmental standards remained a top priority throughout the project. He added that adherence to directives issued by relevant authorities helped protect both personnel and project facilities.
He praised the efforts of operational staff, specialists and support teams, saying they maintained the project’s operational readiness and enabled a rapid resumption of activities under safe and stable conditions, supporting sustained gas production in the months ahead.
According to the report, South Pars Phase 11 is the final development project among the field’s 24 phases and was awarded under Iran’s Integrated Petroleum Contract (IPC) framework.
Development of the border phase accelerated under the current administration. Daily gas production more than doubled from about 12 million cubic meters in late August 2024 to more than 24 million cubic meters by January 2026.
With the start-up of the 11th well, daily rich gas production from Platform B of South Pars Phase 11 is expected to reach approximately 26 million cubic meters.
