SP refineries steering committee formed to accelerate reconstruction

SHANA (Tehran) – The Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) established a steering committee dedicated to the reconstruction of damaged South Pars refineries, aimed at safeguarding the nation’s strategic energy production capacity.

The committee, whose members were appointed by the POGC managing director, is tasked with overseeing, coordinating and monitoring the restoration of facilities damaged during recent conflicts. Its mandate includes expediting technical, engineering and logistical efforts to restore operations.

Under the new directives, committee members are responsible for utilizing existing technical and managerial resources to draft operational plans and identify and resolve obstacles to the reconstruction process.

The committee is also charged with streamlining collaboration among oil industry divisions, contractors, domestic manufacturers and suppliers to maximize the use of national capabilities in the restoration projects.

POGC, which supplies more than 70% of the country’s natural gas, is currently managing the reconstruction of three South Pars refineries damaged during recent hostilities.
