Construction of NGL Factory Kicks Off In Dehloran

TEHRAN Apr 29 (Shana): Director of engineering and construction operations at Iran’s Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) says operations has been started for construction of a factory that will gather associated gases in Northern Dezfoul oil fields.

Construction of the factory, named Dehloran NGL-3100, has been started with the aim of gathering 260 million cubic feet of gas per day and preventing their flare.

Mohammad Reza Naghibi made the remarks adding the project will be implemented over a 30 month period.

He said the factory would produce 46 thousand barrels of ethane and ethylene components per day as feedstock for under construction Dehloran petrochemical plant.

Before launching Dehloran petrochemical plant, the NGL produced by the factory will be transferred to Maroun petrochemical complex through a pipeline.

According to the official, the NGL 1300 factory will also produce 4 million cubic meters of sweet gas per day for injection to Cheshmeh Khosh oilfield.

In 2012, OIEC and CIOFC signed an EPCF contract for construction of NGL-1300 factory.

In addition to gathering associated gases, a gas-fired power plant will be built for generating 150 megawatt of electricity per hour for Dehloran petrochemical complex and its nearby units.
