Oil workers’ tenacity kept fuel flowing during Imposed War

SHANA (Tehran) – The deputy chairman of the Parliament’s Energy Committee said oil industry employees stood firm despite repeated enemy threats and did not allow fuel production and distribution to be interrupted for a moment.

Ramezanali Sangdovini said that after failing in direct military confrontation, the enemy sought to attack vital infrastructure, particularly in the energy sector. He said the Iranian people and armed forces mounted a 40-day, tenacious defense during the Sacred Defense, adding that their resistance against the American-Zionist enemy reflects the high level of endurance and fortitude of the Iranian nation.

The enemy targeted gas facilities in Assaluyeh and several petrochemical complexes, thinking it could double the people’s hardships, he said. Yet domestic experts and specialists repaired the damage in the shortest possible time, so much so that the public experienced no actual shortage in fuel or energy supply, Sangdovini added.

He emphasized that oil industry workers, especially in the southern oil-rich regions and Persian Gulf oil and gas facilities, stood firm despite repeated enemy threats and did not allow the country’s fuel production, supply chain or exports to be halted for a moment.
