Aref praises NIORDC’s wartime performance ’

SHANA (Tehran) — First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref on Thursday commended the performance of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company during the recent Ramadan war, saying its efforts played a key role in maintaining public calm and ensuring uninterrupted services.

According to fvpresident.ir, Aref visited the company earlier in the day and expressed appreciation for its workforce’s performance under wartime conditions.

In a meeting with NIORDC executives, Aref pointed to the broader national context, saying the conflict demonstrated not only the government’s capacity but also the resilience of the Iranian people.

Enemy Sought Public Discontent

Praising NIORDC workers, Aref said their performance exceeded expectations despite efforts by adversaries to disrupt infrastructure.

He said the objective was not only to damage facilities but also to create public dissatisfaction by interrupting services. However, he added, round-the-clock efforts by workers thwarted those plans. He accused adversaries of targeting the daily lives, livelihoods and peace of the Iranian people, saying those efforts ultimately failed.

Gov’t Prepared for Prolonged Conflict

Aref said the government has planned for the possibility of an extended and large-scale conflict, emphasizing that there is no cause for public concern.

He added that the government, while pursuing both defense and reconstruction, will accept nothing short of meeting the Iranian people’s demands.
