According to the company, Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar made the remarks during a visit to the Lavan refinery, where he expressed appreciation for personnel working around the clock to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to the public.
He said patriotism has long been a defining feature of Iran’s national identity, adding that Iranians have consistently stood against threats to their country and that a spirit of sacrifice is deeply rooted in the nation’s culture.
Azimifar, who also serves as deputy oil minister, said that during the recent 40-day conflict, this spirit was clearly demonstrated among employees in the refining and distribution sector. Many workers, he said, remained at their posts throughout the conflict, staying away from their families and facing significant risks.
He emphasized the need to quickly restore damaged facilities to operation, adding that the refining and distribution sector is taking necessary steps to support and expedite the process.
Efforts to Restore Units as Quickly as Possible
Hamidreza Mahjoub, CEO of the Lavan refinery, said staff across various departments worked with dedication during the fire at the facility, preventing it from spreading further.
He added that efforts are underway to bring the refinery back online in the shortest possible time.
