First VP issues Nowruz, Eid al‑Fitr message, citing national unity, security

SHANA (Tehran) — First vice president Mohammadreza Aref, marked the start of the Iranian New Year and Eid al‑Fitr with a message emphasizing national unity, economic resilience and the country’s ability to withstand external threats.

In the statement, Aref said Iran had concluded the previous year amid “imposed war” and “terror scenarios” from adversaries seeking to weaken the state. He said those efforts failed due to public participation, institutional cohesion and loyalty to the country’s leadership.
Aref said the government would continue its agenda in 1405 with a focus on “resistance economy under national unity and national security,” echoing the title chosen by Iran’s leader for the new year.
He pointed to recent public activity during the holiday season as evidence of resilience and normalcy in the country, adding that Iran “relies on its people” rather than individuals.
Aref referenced continued security threats but said they would not deter the nation, calling unity an essential component of overcoming recent challenges.
In closing, he stated that Iran would move forward “calmly and with strength” in the year ahead.
