Mohammad-Ja’far Qaempanah made the remarks after Saturday night's attacks by the Israeli regime on some fuel distribution infrastructure. Following a meeting with Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, managing director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, Qaempanah stated that contingency plans have been implemented and the country has not faced any particular issues with fuel supply.
Emphasizing the need for public cooperation to better manage the situation, he added, "Given the current circumstances, it is better for people to conserve not only in fuel consumption but in other sectors as well."
Qaempanah urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel to help expedite the return to normal conditions.
"We anticipate that fuel-related problems will be completely resolved within the next two to three days," Qaempanah said. "If people reduce their consumption, we can manage the situation within a day or two."
Networks being restored
At the same meeting, Azimifar, who also serves as deputy oil minister, outlined the country's fuel production and supply status, stating there is no problem with gasoline supply.
Referring to damage sustained by some infrastructure, Azimifar said, "Due to the damage to some infrastructure, we are in the process of restoring and rebuilding the networks so that fuel distribution can be carried out optimally."
He added that the issues are expected to be resolved within two to three days.
The meeting also focused on accelerating the repair of damaged infrastructure and the necessity of managing energy consumption with public cooperation.
