According to NIORDC, CEO Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, speaking on the sidelines of the visit, praised the strategic role of the Abadan refinery and the sacrifices made by its employees during the 12-day war. He stressed the need to accelerate work on the second section of Phase 2, remove existing obstacles and move forward with implementation of the monitoring plan.

Azimifar said human capital is the cornerstone of development in any organization, adding that production and growth cannot be achieved without it. He noted that the Oil Ministry has strong capacity for compensation and incentives, but that not all of those tools have been fully used.

The deputy oil minister said consultations on the issue are planned for the coming week.
