According to the National Iranian Gas Company, Yahya Feyzi said that amid the cold winter days and sustained efforts by operational staff, the volume of sour gas received and gas withdrawn from the Shourijeh storage reservoir has risen by about 2.5 million cubic meters per day.
He said that as a result of special technical and operational measures, about 65 million cubic meters of gas are now received daily at the Shahid Hashemi-Nejad Gas Refinery’s operating units and, after purification and dehydration, are delivered to the country’s national pipeline network.
Highlighting the refinery’s role in national energy supply, Feyzi said the facility, as the only natural gas producer in Iran’s northeast, plays a key role in ensuring stable energy supplies for the northern and northeastern regions. He added that refinery staff are working around the clock during the winter cold wave to maintain stable gas production and transmission.
Feyzi also stressed the importance of energy consumption management and urged the public to use natural gas efficiently and support the gas industry’s efforts to help maintain the stability of the national gas network during the cold season.
