Household,commercial sectors accounted for 78% of gas consumption

SHANA (Tehran) – On Monday (January 19), gas consumption by the household, commercial and small-scale industrial sectors reached 683 million cubic meters, equivalent to 78% of the total gas supplied to the national network.

An analysis of consumption patterns on the national gas network shows the share of the household and commercial sectors remains high, and demand continues to rise amid another drop in temperatures. According to the National Iranian Gas Company, consumption by these sectors reached 683 million cubic meters on Jan. 19.

Adhering to efficient consumption patterns and using standard heating equipment plays a decisive role in maintaining the stability of the gas supply network and preventing increased load during peak periods.

The National Iranian Gas Company emphasized that consumption management in the household and commercial sectors is crucial for network stability and meeting the needs of other sectors. The company has asked subscribers to help ensure the continuation of stable gas supply across the country by following optimal consumption patterns and conserving energy.

Following optimal consumption patterns, especially during cold days, not only maintains network stability but also facilitates gas supply to industries conserve energy to help ensure a stable gas supply nationwide.
