According to Pars Oil and Gas Company, Keyvan Tariqati noted that daily rich gas extraction from South Pars Phase 11 reached over 12 million cubic meters by late August 2024. He stated that development of this shared field intensified from the beginning of the current administration. In drilling operations, the tenth well at location SPD11B has now been brought into production, raising rich gas extraction from this phase to 24.3 million cubic meters per day (equivalent to 858 million cubic feet per day), representing production growth of more than 100%.
Regarding progress on the second jacket for Phase 11, he said the jacket for location SPD11A – the final jacket among the 24 planned for South Pars – was installed at its location in the Persian Gulf last week. Pile driving, stabilization, and attachment installation operations are currently underway.
The project supervisor described the installation of this offshore structure as a key stage in the development plan. He emphasized that with the installation of the SPD11A jacket on the maritime border between Iran and Qatar, preparations for rig installation and the start of new well drilling in Phase 11 are now in place.
Tariqati said 13.4 billion cubic meters of rich gas have been extracted from this shared field to date, playing a significant role in offsetting part of the country's gas deficit.
