Speaking to PIN, Asghar Rafiei also said that at present NDC has four other drilling rigs placed in West Paydar, Bandar-Abbas Sarkhoon, Khangiran and Qom Serajeh sites.

He also cited the company has recently won a tender to purchase two other onshore rigs to be placed in the working area of Iran Offshore Oil Company adding that another contract on buying an offshore drilling rig is being finalized.

He further stated that supported by the Oil Ministry, NDC has provided itself within the past three years with the portable drilling tools required for the next 30-year campaign.
