According to the South Pars Gas Complex, Saeid Heidari said the Oil Ministry’s macro policies to support domestic production have accelerated efforts this year to promote self-reliance in manufacturing key equipment and parts needed by South Pars refineries.

He said the complex relied entirely on domestically produced goods from late March through late December, adding that the achievement reflects industrial maturity, stronger technical capabilities among local manufacturers, and the gas industry’s growing confidence in Iranian companies.

Heidari said more than 200 domestic and knowledge-based companies are now involved in meeting the complex’s needs, and nearly 15,000 parts and pieces of equipment have been localized under indigenization programs.

Domestic Manufacturers’ Role in Gas Production Stability

Heidari stressed the role of domestic manufacturers in ensuring stable gas production, saying Iranian companies now have the capability to design, manufacture and supply critical refinery equipment. He said targeted capacity building, trust in knowledge-based firms and support for first-time manufacturers can reduce foreign dependence and help achieve planned targets and sustainable production.

He added that the South Pars Gas Complex’s approach to supporting domestic production has led to significant foreign currency savings, technology transfer, sustainable job creation and a stronger domestic supply chain in the gas industry.

Heidari said continuing this policy will enhance the gas industry’s resilience, strengthen national energy security and help achieve the goals of a resistance economy, adding that the complex remains committed to supporting domestic manufacturers.
