He made the statement in a gathering of managing directors, directorate members, and managers of NISOC and its nine affiliated companies in Ahvaz, the capital of southern province of Khuzestan.

Nozari said NISOC manpower’s capabilities excelled its current responsibilities and therefore their duties needed to be redefined in an attempt to take optimal advantage of its capacities.  

The minister urged NISOC managers to establish a framework to motivate the staff and encourage them to compete.

Addressing NISOC managers, Nozari said, “Given the company’s potentials, you should not feel satisfied with achievements and you have to outline more plans for greater successes.

“Such a strategy in NISOC, thanks to its impacts on domestic oil industry and economy, could encourage other sectors of oil industry to make greater efforts.”

NISOC Managing Director Seifollah Jashnsaz, for his part, offered a report on the company’s performance in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2007), comparing it to that of corresponding period in its preceding year.

Nozari paid a one-day visit to Ahvaz to attend a ceremony to celebrate the 28^th anniversary of National Iranian Drilling Company.

The ceremony was held in the amphitheater of the company, where National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Deputy Mohammad-Javad Assemipour, the Leader’s representative in Khuzestan Province and Ahvaz Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad-Ali Jazayeri, Khuzestan Province governor general, and a number of managers and officials of affiliated companies of Petroleum Ministry were also present. 

MESSAGE

Nozari gave his message to industrialists on the 28th anniversary of NIDC.

Late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (RA), issued a historical decree 28 years ago and National Iranian Drilling Company was set up on Dec. 22, 1979, read the message.

“I hereby express my congratulations to industrious oil industrialists particularly the hardworking staff of drilling industry on the auspicious occasions, wishing great success for them,” wrote the minister.

“During the past 28 years, the personnel of drilling industry have made every effort to indigenize the strategic industry, making successes in different stages,” continued the message.

“I extend my appreciation to dear colleagues for their unflinching efforts, expressing hope the NIDC will make more serious attempts and have a strong presence in the international markets,” he added.

EXPO

The 5th Drilling Exposition was inaugurated by Nozari in Ahvaz.

The solo exhibition is held in a parcel of land with 2,000 square meters, displaying the latest achievements and products of domestic manufacturers in 90 stands.

Nozari visited the pavilions and was briefed on domestic capabilities.

The expo is open to the public for four days.
