The unveiling took place today, coinciding with the festival, and was attended by Omid Shakeri, Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Engineering, Research and Technology; Azim Kalantari-Asl, RIPI president; and Mohammadreza Khosravi-Niku, president of the Petroleum University of Technology. The products aim to advance domestic technologies and address strategic needs in Iran’s oil and gas industry.
One of the unveiled products, the 13X adsorbent catalyst, developed by Behda Chemical Company, plays a key role in separation and purification processes across the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. Localizing its production is expected to reduce reliance on foreign sources and enhance operational efficiency.
The institute also introduced a newly designed analyzer, developed in-house, which aims to improve the accuracy and speed of laboratory and industrial measurements in response to the oil industry’s technological needs.
The launch of these products aligns with RIPI’s policies to promote knowledge-based products, support the commercialization of research achievements, and strengthen the role of domestic technologies in Iran’s energy sector.
During the ceremony, the institute also honored its top researchers, recognizing their scientific and technological contributions to advancing research goals and developing knowledge-based products. The event underscored RIPI’s commitment to fostering innovation, motivating researchers, and highlighting their central role in the growth of Iran’s oil industry.
