The agreements were signed Wednesday during a ceremony marking Research Week at the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company.
A contract titled “Completion and Construction of a Semi-Industrial Pilot for Performance Evaluation of Hydrocracking Unit Catalysts” was signed between Mehdi Dej-Hosseini, director of research and technology at the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, and Azim Kalantari-Asl, head of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.
Another contract, “Development of IPS Standards to Establish 10 National Standards,” was signed between Dej-Hosseini and Majid Javanmard, head of the Research Institute of Standards.
In addition, a contract titled “Study of Smart Seal Applications Required by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, Selection of the Optimal Option, Prototype Construction and Development” was signed between Ali-Asghar Abbasi, deputy CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, and Masoud Sabbaghi, vice president for research and technology at Amirkabir University of Technology.
Among the MOUs, an agreement on “Development of Software for Optimization of LPG Production at Abadan Refinery Using Linear Programming and Artificial Intelligence” was signed between Issa Khoshrou, head of research at Abadan Refinery, and Sabbaghi.
Another MoU, titled “Soil Remediation Equipment and Sustainable Energy Production and Development of Infrastructure for Estimation and Monitoring of Flare Volumes Using Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence,” was signed between Khoshrou and Mohammad Ali Bijarchi, a vice president at Sharif University of Technology.
A further MoU on “Assessment of Process Challenges in the Alkylation Unit Using CFD Tools and Proposal of Solutions” was signed between Khoshrou and Morteza Ehsani, head of the Polymer and Petrochemical Research Institute.
