Ahad Vazifeh said the country is entering a period of notably cold days, adding that temperatures are forecast to drop below normal nationwide in the coming days.
He said precipitation during this period is also expected to exceed normal levels, with subzero temperatures anticipated in some regions.
Vazifeh noted that significant rainfall is forecast for late this week, particularly in southern parts of the country. While the rains will not end the prolonged drought of recent years, he said they could partially offset rainfall deficits.
He added that, as previously forecast, favorable precipitation began in the second half of Azar. Given the sharp drop in temperatures expected this week and next, Vazifeh emphasized the need for energy conservation.
