Ali-Asghar Sadeqi, speaking for the Pars Oil and Gas Company, said the third well at Phase 13 was completed, commissioned and connected to the production network in December, ahead of the winter season.
He said work to finish remaining offshore activities at Phase 13 is continuing. Over the past 10 months, four new wells have been drilled at the phase, and acidizing operations carried out on three others, boosting total rich-gas output at Phase 13 by about 8 million cubic meters per day.
Sadeqi said the measures have helped improve the country’s gas balance during colder months and strengthened production stability from the shared South Pars field, adding that efforts by specialists and staff will continue at full capacity.
Earlier, Touraj Dehqani, CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, announced the successful start-up of two new wells at Phase 13, saying their launch increased the phase’s daily gas production capacity by 3 million cubic meters.
