Kamal Daneshyar told reporters on the sidelines of today’s Majlis session that using smart cards has reduced gasoline consumption and smuggling during recent days and, therefore, deferring gasoline rationing is a strong possibility.

“I hope that due to many advantages of smart cards, there would be no need to ration fuel,” he added.

Daneshyar stated that the main problem with regard to fuel is annual import of 9 billion dollars gasoline.
