Member of Majlis Energy Commission told Petroenergy Information Network that the request submitted by Iraqi oil industry officials for Iran to take part in their projects, is a good opportunity to transfer the country’s capabilities to the neighboring state.
Javad Sadounzadeh, representative of Abadan at the Iranian parliament, noted that Iran’s cooperation with the Iraqi oil industry will also help stability and security in that country, but absence of Iran in Iraq’s oil industry will pave the way for other countries, including the occupiers.
“We must avail of economic capacities in both Muslim countries in any possible way,” he said.
Sadounzadeh further noted that Iran enjoys huge gas reserves and should pave the way for increasing added value of its resources through widespread international interactions.
“According to the 20-Year Perspective Plan, we must avoid of selling raw materials and, therefore, we must avail of all opportunities including the ‘peace pipeline’”.
