TEHRAN – As distribution of smart cards for dispensation of gasoline has reached final stage and gasoline is now sold for 100 tomans per liters, domestic gasoline consumption reached 78.3 million liters on May 22.

Official figures released by the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company show that during the said 24 hours, more than 63.9 million liters gasoline have been used throughout the country (excluding Tehran) and 14.4 million liters have been consumed in Tehran.

The report also noted that 63.9 million liters diesel was consumed throughout the country, including 6 million liters in Tehran, during the same period.
