TEHRAN – A Venezuelan delegation headed by representative of that country’s oil company visited facilities and equipment of the National Iranian Drilling Company in order to boost educational cooperation between the two countries.

Director of human resources at the National Iranian Drilling Company told Petroenergy Information Network that the delegation will follow up last year’s negotiations on teaching drilling techniques.

Ali Taheri stated that during a meeting between Venezuelan delegates and directors of National Iranian Drilling Company, the Venezuelan side expressed satisfaction over capabilities of the Iranian company and called for six-month short term courses to be held for Venezuelan technicians.

He added that according to educational program of the National Iranian Drilling Company, which is defined as one-year and two-year courses, a new program will be formulated for the Venezuelan oil industry staff.

“An agreement will be signed during a visit to Venezuela, by a delegation from the National Iranian Drilling Company after needed plans are made,” he said.

National Iranian Drilling Company is among creditable companies in drilling industry and is capable of drilling wells under different conditions.
