TEHRAN -- Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) will start coating the pipes of Foruzan oilfield within the next 20 days, said the project manager on Saturday.

The project will be carried out in the Khorramshahr yard in three months, Soheil Dilfanian sain in a Mehr report.

The pipes and other equipment have been ordered, said the manager, adding the pipes will be transferred to the yard in the near future.

After the concreting operation, the C-master vessel will lay the pipes to link Kharg Island to Foruzan field in a 102km route, he said.

By transferring the associated gases to Kharg Island in southern Iran, Foruzan and Esfandiar oilfields are expected to increase the daily crude oil production to 125 thousand barrels and gas output to 258 million cubic feet, Dilfanian added.

An official with the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) said last month the drilling of the second well in Foruzan Oilfield in the Persian Gulf will be finished within the next two months,

Hamid-Reza Khoshayand explained that Spain"s Repsol has finished the drilling of the first well, and the drilling of the second one is underway by Brazil"s Petrobras.

The drilling of the second well should be progressed by the depth of 4,630 meters, NIDC director for offshore drilling noted, adding, the operations are currently in 1,300 meters depth.

He also said that the second well is exploratory and its drilling is expected to be completed within 95 days.
