TEHRAN – The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) will develop 16 oilfields in the current Iranian year (started on March 21).

Under the supervision of ICOFC, the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Co. (NIOEC) put the plan into the tender.

Dehloran, Khesht, Shurum, and Sarvestan are among the main oilfields to be developed by the company.

NIOFC scheduled to dig 46 wells of which 20 are development and 26 are repair.

Of ten development wells, 4 wells will be in Paydar Gharb joint well and 2 in Kangan. The company will dig the other 4 wells in Shanol, Tangeh Bijar, Naftshahr, and Dehloran oilfields.

Totally 42 wells were dug last year, of which 10 were dug for development process and 32 were for workover operations.
